What is DDPI? Why is it Important?

A DDPI is a formal document that gives the broker or Depository Participant (DP) the right to transfer shares. When you sell shares through your trading account, the broker or DP can transfer the securities from your Demat account to the stock exchange. This document replaced the Power of Attorney (PoA) in India on November 18, 2022, as per SEBI’s circular.
